When you want the whole hog, we are the people to see! This is the rebrand for Daphne Geisler’s shop – Vintage Treasure in Martinborough.
Nowadays it’s an online shop packed full of treasure, nostalgia and sentiment, with not a speck of dust in sight. If you adore antiques and collectables, are a craft maker and lover of kitchenalia, china, Crown Lynn, crystal and glass, linen, sewing, silverware, all things blue and white, retro and vintage, you will love it.
With the launch and the great media coverage this week of Leanne’s book Fairytale Love – How to Love Happily Ever After (Greg designed the cover and graphic inclusions) we realised that we hadn’t actually posted a blog on the fabulous illustrations that Random House commissioned Greg Keith to do for Jared Gulian’s book Moon Over Martinborough – How an American City Boy Became a Kiwi Farmer, published last year.
Jared has had fabulous success with his book full of heart-warming stories about olives, neighbours, friendships and farm animals. They make you laugh and cry and want to live in the country on an olive grove. You will also have to spot the stories about us, aka Leelee and Wolfie.
There’s just one more sleep until This Town airs and we probably ought to be preparing autographed postcards of Giggles the pig. Pampered princess pig debuts on television. What will be next? Read More

Polish off your spurs, saddle up your horse and get on down to the heart of Martinborough’s Wine Village and taste premium Chardonnay, try on some warm woolly clothes and RSVP your place to celebrate the book Kupe – a history of Martinborough District at the store, with the author Roberta McIntyre.
Make a treaty with the wild bunnies when you arrive. They can hang out and hop around and add to the beauty of the place, munching on weeds and grass as long as they leave the little trees and vegetable garden alone.
Put chicken wire around the vegetable garden fence.
Make a deal with the birds. They can tweet and look gorgeous and be fed and supplied with bathing water as long as they Read More
“Whenever we think about the life of a wine, we have to think about its death” begins Wilco the winemaker from Dry River Wines Martinborough. If, as a consumer you’re not that familiar with Dry River, it’s the ‘cult’ wine that’s difficult to get hold of unless you are fortunate enough to find a bottle in one of the lucky national or international stores that stocks it, or you are on their direct mailing list. That is what makes Simon and Amanda’s Terroir to Table Wine Event at the Martinborough Wine Centre so special. Tonight is a lucky dip from Dry River’s sparse cellar stocks and Greg and I and 28 other enthusiastic tasters eagerly await the experience.
Because their wines are all about cellaring to enjoy and Read More
