The new look logo.

When new owners took over Martinborough Wine Centre, they wanted to put their own stamp on the fabulous wine store right in the heart of Martinborough Village. They engaged us to undertake the rebrand, so we helped with a brand name, then set about designing a new logo, shop signage, stunning window graphics (which grace every window) and took the look and feel across their online presence making Facebook banners and profile pics. We set them up with a great looking Read More

Terroir Wines.

BDX 2 pack layers rev2
It was such a pleasure to design wine labels for Simon Groves and Amanda Ra, owners of Terroir Wines. These two beautiful labels wrap around their completely stunning wine that is attracting a lot of good attention. BDX 2011 has been rated 2nd (equal with Atarangi’s Celebre) in a NZ ‘blended red wine’ tasting by Master of Wine Bob Campbell.

“An equal blend of CS, CF and Merlot. Aged for 18 months in Hungarian and French barriques. The wine derives aroma from Cabernet Franc, structure from Cabernet Sauvignon and rich, berry and plum fruitiness from Merlot. Elegant, powerful red with good cellaring potential.” Bob Campbell MW 93/100 Five Stars.

BDX 2010 and BDX 2011 are available direct from Terroir Wines. Their website and Facebook page are food for your soul, they showcase their wonderful wines, lifestyle, poetry and beautiful photography and are well worth a visit.

Martinborough Wine Centre.

all

Here are a few designs we whipped into shape for the Martinborough Wine Centre.

It’s the marvellous month of May and Simon and Amanda’s store sure know how to keep the locals, tourists and weekenders occupied.

Their Summer of Riesling tastings were fabulous, but now as the vines turn golden and orange, it’s time to experience their Chardonnay Showdown.

Polish off your spurs, saddle up your horse and get on down to the heart of Martinborough’s Wine Village and taste premium Chardonnay, try on some warm woolly clothes and RSVP your place to celebrate the book Kupe – a history of Martinborough District at the store, with the author Roberta McIntyre.

Martinborough Wine Village. The Village Cafe.

Right in the heart of Martinborough Wine Village is The Village Cafe. Gregs design work and Leanne’s copywriting for magazine advertising.The_Village_Cafe_Lifestyle_ad

Right in the heart of Martinborough Wine Village is a wonderful café that’s busy nourishing the neighbourhood every single day of the week from 8am to 4pm. Whether it’s breakfast, brunch or lunch you’re after, The Village Café offers a wide range of tasty treats. Enjoy the country style surroundings of the café or relax in the courtyard and absorb the local atmosphere. When the kitchen closes at 3pm you can still enjoy a scrumptious selection of home-made delights from the counter, over a coffee, a huge selection of teas or a delicious chai latte. Every Friday night from 6pm to 9pm there’s something special to look forward to – A candle-lit, elegant, enticing menu of pizza and home-made pasta with local wines available by the glass.
Looking for a gorgeous venue, with an experienced team that can effortlessly host your perfect Wine Country Wedding? We’d love to hear from you.

Wine Label Designs.

Wine label designs.

Simon and Amanda from Terroir Wines, who own and run the fabulous Martinborough Wine Centre in the heart of Martinborough’s Wine Village are awesome promotors and supporters of independent producers. Their business is a wonderful gathering place of a huge range of products from local vineyards and olive groves.

They are really busy people, so they commissioned us to design their logo, redesign their range of Village Square Wines and to design wine labels for their new range – Stampede and Melody. Meetings with these two was fun – a lot of talking, a lot of tasting and a lot of laughing, all of which helped the wine label designs and the interesting stories on the back labels, come to life.  It was a dream job that ran incredibly smoothly from conception to printing and we think we nailed the brief and delivered some nice people some very nice work.

Pop into the store at 6 Kitchener St and see the window display (including bunting flags also made by us) and taste the range because it’s lovely and it’s their wine of the month.

Store hours: open 7 days, 10.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m & extended to 6pm some evenings for winemaker tastings
