This Little Piggy Stayed Home.

Six soulful days in sunny Sydney.

Day One.

this little piggy stayed home

It’s a last minute dash to the printers in Greytown to pick up the final changes on my completed manuscript before heading over the hill to Wellington. Mum kindly drops us off at the airport and we use the 2 silver Koru Lounge passes that The Wolf has kept in his wallet for such a special occasion.

Giggles the pig, who is being cared for at pig camp would be jealous of the scrumptious morsels we feasted on.

On board the plane I win an imaginary 32 thousand dollars on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. We hit NW winds and had a very bumpy thunderstorm filled landing in Sydney where the temperature is still 29 degrees. We buy a multi-travel  transport pass and catch the train to the city at rush hour, suitcases in tow. I have to breathe into my belly. There are more people in our carriage than our entire town. Platform mayhem ensues. How we even exit to street level is a mystery.

Trying to figure out which direction the hotel is stays unsolved, so we make it easy and catch a taxi to the the Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments and check in.

Our expanded Koru Lounge tummies show no sign of shrinking enough to fit in any actual food so we go on a mini adventure to Darling Harbour to buy a freshly squeezed juice for dinner.
